Biodegradation is one of the most important factors in assessing the environmental fate of chemicals. Substances coming into the aquatic environment via waste water get in contact with the sewage treatment microorganisms, which is therefore the basis for the assessment of aquatic biodegradation. Standard OECD 301 tests performed at ibacon are - The 301D: Closed Bottle Test, the 301F: Manometric Respirometry Test and the 310: CO2 in Sealed Vessels (Headspace) Test.

65% organic carbon converts to CO2 within a 10 to 28 day test period, 100% from 36 – 110 day period.

SOIL TECH neutralizes oil pollution in and on Soil and Gravel by making the hydrocarbons inert and encapsulating them into a non-hazardous substance called organo silicate. SOIL TECH has been specifically designed to neutralize toxic hydrocarbons to a non-hazardous and irreversible state under normal pH conditions. This process is simple and fast leaving the converted hydrocarbons inert.

SOIL TECH is at the forefront of the natural and environmentally safe treatment of the remediation of oil contaminated Soil.

SOIL TECH’s remediation process is faster, requires less labour and is environmentally safer to use than any other method of soil remediation.

COMPOSITION

SOIL TECH is based on a complex blend of mineral silicates, and solution. It is a clear liquid with no discernable odor, with a Specific Gravity of less than 1.25 and which is miscible with water. It has an alkali pH.

ACTION

SOIL TECH eradicates oil, diesel, petrol, slicks, and fat stains from Soils. There will be no leaching of contaminants.

Worx Degreaser (Mechanical Parts & General Degreaser)

A locally formulated and manufactured water-based degreaser which:

  • Contains potent hydrocarbon cutting properties
  • a quick break action
  • does not emulsify
  • is biodegradable
  • contains a blend of quality alkaline materials, eco-friendly surfactants and hydrocarbon cutters
  • does not affect mass pull

Worx Degreaser will effectively and efficiently cut heavily mattered hydrocarbon contamination from surfaces and equipment, quickly release the hydrocarbon, leaving the hydrocarbon to be easily skimmed of the water, allowing Worx to remain in the water to biodegrade, leaving the water neutral.

Standard degreasers reduce the amount of minerals that are recovered at the Plant. Worx Degreasers are specifically custom formulated to have as little to no effect on this recovery. Samples of the mines aggregate, water and frother surfactants are taken and scientific laboratory tests are run to analyse which degreaser (including the mines current product) will have the least to no effect of the Plants mass pull. The test results will be supplied and the appropriate grade of Worx degreaser will be recommended to the Mine.

Worx Degreaser has been specifically designed to meet four priority requirements:

  1. To use the minimum amount of product to cut hydrocarbons from heavily contaminated surfaces and equipment.
  2. To release the hydrocarbon molecules to allow for easy separation.
  3. To biodegrade.
  4. To have a minimum to no effect on the mass pull in the plant (Frother shape and height).

Before HTech

Declines and Brake test ramps can be dangerously slippery. This is because standard degreasers use soap-based surfactants. When oil, (From contaminated tyres, oil leaks or hydraulic leaks) or water (Washing / rain) is added to a surface cleaned with a soap-based degreaser the surface will become slippery. HTech is not soap based and will dry to a chalky finish. When oil or water is added to the surface, the surface will remain non-slippery.

After HTech

The surface is dry and safe.
